Finely painted with a young lady richly adorned in beaded jewelry and wearing fine colorful garments, kneeling on the ground, and playing the saung (Burmese harp) with a cheerful yet focused expression. Outside of Myanmar his work has been exhibited, often in solo shows, in Japan, Korea, China, Australia, the USA and Singapore. He studied under Thet Win and graduated from the Art Institute of Teacher's Training in 1954. He was an instructor at the School of Fine Arts, Yangon, between 1958 and 1979, and principal of the same school from 1977 to 1979. He began painting in a realistic vein, influenced by the major painters of the Rangoon School, Ba Nyan and Thein Han, who was his painting master.
