Description Late 19th-early 20th century AD. A heavy gilt shrine with Buddha seated in the centre performing the Abhaya mudra pose, the gesture of fearlessness; standing attendant either side, with two groups of three figures below on either side, each with flaming aureole behind; a row of seated Buddhas to the bases of the central figures. 2.9 kg, 29cm (11").
