Description A VICTORIAN COPELAND PART DINNER SET, CIRCA 1853, each piece decorated with the Courtauld Coat of Arms, having a repeating swirl frieze border, the lids with acorn and acanthus leaf finials, bearing marks for Copeland 1851-1895, the service comprising fifty dinner plates, eleven soup bowls, two vegetable tureens, a sauce tureen with lid, two saucers, three serving dishes. Provenance: This service was commissioned by George Courtauld, probably for his new home at Gosfield Hall, purchased in 1854,
