About the artist: Ukrainian painter and graphic artist, master of decorative art.
Ivan Kirillovich Tsyupka was born in 1926 in the village of Pogreby, Romensky district, Sumy region into a peasant family.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. Decorated with orders and medals.
He taught fine arts at the Romny secondary school №1.
Tsyupka I.K. worked in the field of easel painting and graphics. Master of decorative arts, landscape and still life.
Permanent participant in regional, regional, republican and all-union art exhibitions.
In the early 1960s, Ivan Tsyupka met Tatyana Nilovna Yablonskaya, who became his elder friend and mentor, having had a great influence on the artist's work.
The artist's personal exhibitions were held in Romny (1986, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006), Nedrigailovo (1996), his native village Pogreby (2001), Kiev (2002, 2003).
Member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine since 2003.
The works of I.K. Tsyupki are presented in the State Museum of Decorative Ukrainian Art, Sumy Regional Art Museum, Romensky Museum of Local Lore, in gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
