Description A POST-1911 GEORGE V LIGHT INFANTRY OFFICERS' PATTERN SWORD, with acid etched blade displaying both the Royal arms and the Royal cypher, formerly the property of Houghton Aldgate COTCHING, 6th (TF) Bn., Durham Light Infantry, later Major Royal Engineers and ultimately Chief Mechanical Engineer, The Palestine Railway, Haifa, in its brown leather service dress scabbard and with leather sword knot.
Condition Report In excellent condition throughout, the blade bright and clean, as is the hilt. Shagreen grip and wire firm and intact, the scabbard well polished with the stitching intact.
