Description A Chinese covered lapis lazuli stone vase with a wood stand dating from the 19th century. The vase has a lid with a finial and two elephant-head handles carved onto either side of the neck of the vase. The body of the vase is carved with a taotie design. There is a stamp on the vase with 'Made in China'. The vase's wooden stand is ornately decorated with inlaid silver. Dimensions are: 5 1/8 inches tall X 2 3/8 inches wide, 13 cm tall X 6 cm wide. The base is 1 inch high. All measurements are approximate.
