Description A Chinese white-glazed, lidded jar with six handles dating from the Tang dynasty. The mouth and lid feature bands of relief-carved petals. Dimensions are: 9 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 22.9 cm X 20.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition Report The vase has significant age wear including crazing, chips, and loss to the glaze.
Provenance The jar comes with a Sloans auction tag. From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
