Description A pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain plates dating from the Kangxi period. Each has 9 lobes with scenes of flowers and birds to the interior. The exterior features a flower on each lobe. Dimensions are: 1 1/2 inches tall X 9 inches wide, 3.8 cm X 22.9 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition Report There is a firing defect to the exterior of one plate. Both have miniscule chips to the tips of the lobes.
Provenance From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
