Description A set of eight Chinese watercolor and ink roundel paintings on silk of tigers by Zhu Wenhou. Each has a signature and one seal and is mounted on a silk backing with silk dowels. Dimensions are: Each measures 6 inches diameter, 15.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition Report There are a few minor spots of discoloration, but the paintings are in overall good condition.
Provenance From a private collection in Northern Virginia. The collector is of Russian descent but was born in Harbin, China, in 1935. Following the end of WWII, her family moved to Shanghai and stayed there until 1952 when they relocated to Hong Kong. These items were acquired during the family's time in Shanghai from private collections and art auctions. When the family moved to the US in the late 1950s, they brought their collection with them.
