Description A Chinese ink on paper horizontal painting by Ding Yanyong with calligraphy by Yang Jialing. The painting depicts a bird, orchid, bamboo, a cricket on a flower, and a fish. It includes an inscription and 2 seals and is mounted on a silk backing with paper dowels. Dimensions: 11 1/2 inches tall X 69 1/2 inches wide; 29.2 cm tall X 176.5 cm wide. Condition Report It is in good condition.
Provenance From the estate of Lee Yuhuang. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist and art collector in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy.
