Gorham Martelé (hammered) Silver plate marked "E.P." and date marked with Acorn for 1924 (Prohibition Era 1920-1933) Cocktail Shaker and 12 cups fully hallmarked, the rim of the shaker top edge and cover with strainer holes to one side that close when rotated. Height of Shaker 8 3/4 inches (22.5 cm.). Height of cup 2 1/2 inches (6.3 cm.). NOTE: In spite of Gorham's success with the 1900 Martelé line, American taste began to shift away from the Art Nouveau style after 1906. The line was produced through 1912 and the Gorham Company accepted only special orders after that.
