Dimensions (cm): Height: 29 Diameter: 14Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Blue & white lidded Jars. Potted with a large cylinder vessel, jar shape, having thick and tall potted body, sturdily potted in slight ovoid belly, heavy on shoulder gently tapered on short neck, toward opening mouth prominent, with reverse bowl dome lid finial bud, and raised on flat wide round foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color, depicted of Lotus flowers blooms interspersed with foliage and interlocking tendril, each section mark enclosed off with double fine blue rings lines. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Made In The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
