The porcelain potted in reward shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight cylindrical neck, with flaring mouth rim, raised on a flat round foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in soft green white under glazed base color which contrast against the gilt fine color, depicted of snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves in a dark blue color dragon squama to chasing flaming pearl amidst flames and vapors. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
