This deposit will be refunded to the non winning bidders in approx. 7 business days. Winning bidders will have 7 days to make payment in full in order to be released from the verification charge.

Dimensions (cm): Diameter: 42 Height: 9Chinese Ming Dynasty Period Long Quan Dragon sgraffito Motif porcelain Plate. The porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, thick and large, with broad wide central interior, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, with Lishui wavy waves open lip, raised with round shallow draft, slight concave base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. Meticulous finish sgraffito dragon carving beneath the attractive deep green. The green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
