This deposit will be refunded to the non winning bidders in approx. 7 business days. Winning bidders will have 7 days to make payment in full in order to be released from the verification charge.

The porcelain potted in a traditional Gu beaker shape vase, having baluster shaped body, large, tall and thick, bulging belly on the mid, trumpet-shaped on the tall neck, raised with high round flaring foot base, like reverse bowl with splayed foot base and deep concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the cobalt blue color, depicted of big taotie mask and arrays of tropical leaves patterns. Stylized Full-face zoomorphic resembles an animal, mask with ears, horns and large fangs, but without a lower jaw. These fantastic creatures may have served as intermediaries between the world of men and the realms of the spirits. It came into use by the 3rd century BC, and interpreted, it may be totemic, protective, or an abstracted, symbolic representation of the forces of nature.
