Dimensions (cm): Diameter: 11 Height: 7Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Period Bamboo Motif porcelain Bowls. Potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick and bulbous body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward flaring mouth rim, raised on a small round with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in light brown under glazed base color which contrast against the pale green fine color, depicted of sturdy bamboo tree with dense foliage. Bamboo is viewed as a symbol of traditional Chinese values. It is an example of the harmony between nature and human beings. People think its deep root denotes resoluteness; its tall, straight stem represents honor; its hollow interior modesty and its clean and spartan exterior exemplify chastity. Bamboo culture always plays a positive role in encouraging people to hold on when facing tough situations. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. Mark on base, a four red seal script characters mark.
