A pair of late 19th Century Meissen allegorical groups depicting Spring and Summer, each figural group with central putto surrounded by three putti holding emblems of the season, one with swags, bunches and basket of flowers, the other with wheat sheaves, on scrolling bases heightened with gilt - the harvest group with blue crossed underglaze mark, incised 2490 and stamped 21 with artist's mark to base, (AF - central figure with toe missing, also missing items held in right hand, chips and losses to wheat sheaves, crack to underside of base) - the Spring Flora group with blue crossed swords underglaze mark, incised number 2505 and artist's mark in red paint: iS?, (condition report: damaged, one putti arm broken off but present, chips and losses to toes and feet, repairs to base of plinth in central section)
