About the artist: Born on January 15 (28), 1905 in the city of Poltava. He studied at the Poltava Art Studio (1922-1926), at the Kharkov Art College (1928-1932). Teachers by specialty - M. Andryushin, S. Fedotov, G. Tsiss, M. Burachek. Painter, graphic artist, art critic. He worked in the industry of easel painting, graphics, art criticism. Creativity was based on the traditions of Russian asceticism and socialist realism. He painted the scenery for the local theater, wrote about the theater, music and the art of living in Poltava, made reviews of exhibitions. Member of World War II. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, medals. Member of the Association of Artists of Red Ukraine (1927-1931). Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1945). He worked in the editorial office of the newspaper “Worker of the Poltava Region”, “Bolshevik of the Poltava Region” (1927-1936). He worked at the Poltava Art Museum (1964-1973). Participated in republican exhibitions (1926). Personal - in Poltava (1946-1947, 1956, 1958, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1973), in Kharkov (1964), Kiev (1973). Major works: “On the Roads of the Great Patriotic War” (1942-1945), portraits of artists of the Poltava Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Gogol (1947-1950), drawings and cartoons for the local press; composition dedicated to the life and work of I. Kotlyarevsky, Panas Mirny; painting - “Interior of the Poltava Art Museum” (1925), “Colors of Autumn” (1934), “Osiki in Sanzhary” (1937), “Houses over the Sanzhary River” (1938), “Evening over the River” (1945), “On Vorskla ”,“ Autumn over Vorskla ”(1951),“ Green Coast of Vorskla ”(1955),“ Above Pslom ”(1958),“ Poplars over the road ”(1963),“ Poltava.
