Description Chinese Yaozhou type ceramic jar, of bud form, carved with scrolling lotus decorations, raised on a low foot. Sits approx. 4.5" in height (11.4cm). Provenance: Professor Wu Jilu's Chinese porcelaincollection of Sung & Ming Dynasty ceramics. Prof Wu Jilu was a professor in Chinese Literature, and an avid collector of Chinese porcelain antiques, esp. those with strong Sung Dynasty style & flavor. He had acollection of over 100 items from China?s Sung, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. He had bought most of those collections from various antiques shops and small auction houses across the world over the past 25 years. Some his antique collections were auctioned by major auction houses, such as Sotheby?s and China?s Guardian Auction, Hong Kong.
