Description Having a bulb form body with a flared mouth and rim, supported on a low footed base. Decorated throughout with a greenish grey colored glaze suffused with crackles. Sits approx. 4.25" high (10.7cm). Provenance:Professor Wu Jilu's Chinese porcelain collection of Sung & Ming Dynasty ceramics. Prof Wu Jilu was a professor in Chinese Literature, and an avid collector of Chinese porcelain antiques, esp. those with strongSung Dynasty style & flavor. He had a collection of over 100 items from China?s Sung, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. He had bought most of those collections from various antiques shops and small auction housesacross the world over the past 25 years. Some his antique collections were auctioned by major auction houses, such as Sotheby?s and China?s Guardian Auction, Hong Kong. Acquired from the Professor E.T. Hall collection.
