Description German School oil on panel altarpiece depicting portrait of a priest, depicted in traditional vestments and wearing crucifix pendant necklace, holding quill and paper with inscription along with sprig of rosemary, bearing inscription in upper left including "Im Altter 65," reverse painted with elaborate coat of arms including the Wheel of Mainz, housed in an ornate carved wood frame with Corinthian columns. Image: 16.25" H x 12.75" W; frame: 30" H x 25" W x 4.5" D. Condition Report Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition. Complete condition information is available by request, no later than 24 hours prior to the auction. All lots are offered and sold "as is", and Auctions at Showplace will not provide refunds based on condition.
