Flemish Signed Large Oil on Canvas Original "Blumen in Einer Vase" in Gilt Frame 40x44" Antique Flemish Oil on Canvas in Gilt Frame. To the best of our knowledge our auction house is of the opinion that this is an original "Blumen in Einer Vase". The art records show paintings selling at auction between 7,000-30,000. Please do your own investigations or consult your art expert. List of possible flowers in the scene: Tulips, roses, lillies and other flowers in a vase on a stone ledge. There is very little information on this artist therefore we have copied what we found from Wikipedia. We welcome any expert opinions. " Peter Frans Casteels (Name variations: Pedro-Franciscus Casteels, Peeter-Fransiscus Casteels, Peeter-Franchois Casteels) (fl. 1660–1698) was a Flemish painter, who was active in Antwerp from 1660 (or 1690) to 1698. He is mainly known for his flower still lifes. It is believed he studied under Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Younger.
