EARLY 19THC STAFFORDSHIRE BONE CHINA TEA SERVICE - MRS BOWRING circa 1820's and pattern no 388, each piece painted with sprigs of flowers and richly gilded. Comprising a teapot, lidded sugar bowl and slop bowl, fourteen saucers, one side plate, four small cups, and fourteen larger cups. *This service is probably made by the so called 'Mrs Bowring' factory, the owner of a service of unknown origins with the pattern number 388. The teapot is illustrated in A Directory of British Teapots, Berthoud & Maskell, Plate 1598.
