Description A massive?Spanish faience bowl
Talavera, early 18th century
painted in typical palette?with a picador and bull, the exterior painted with a frieze of hounds chasing a hare
50cm. diameter, 23cm. high
Condition Report Overall in good order with minor chipping and glaze flaking to the rim and a faint stress crack to the interior around the foot rim. Some slight glaze creeping around the central figure but overall an imposing and decorative piece. Slightly warped in manufacture.
