Description A pair of?Louis XVI style?gilt-bronze mounted mahogany encoignures
late 19th century
the shaped compartmentalised mirrored back above mottled brown marble tops?and two mirrored open shelves, on turned tapering legs
137cm. high, 59cm. wide, 43.5cm. deep.
Condition Report These unusual and decorative pieces are generally in good condition and nice quality. The mirrors with spotting and losses to silvering - as to be expected. Marble tops good but with very minor chips. Pierced borders to undertier slightly misshapen in places. At some point in their long history the angled back of each would have had an additional shelf. There is evidence of patching, which is well-done, at this site. These have been removed some time ago and do not detract.
