Description A Louis XVI style?gilt-brass mounted satinwood and mahogany bookcase

with a drawer and three tiers, on fluted supports
107cm. high, 94.5cm. wide, 31cm. deep
Condition Report In good restored condition. The gilt-brass mounts overall good, with very minor tarnishing and scratches. The left handside brass gallery and mount just below the column to the first shelf are slightly loose and would benefit from being securely re-attached. The veneer with minor scratches, age cracks and old marks consistent with age and use. The mahogany and gilt-brass supports at the top of the sides with signs of restorations and one is slightly loose. The drawer with some chipping and associated minor losses to border, on the right handside and bottom left side. The three tiers with minor age craquelure and the back panels with some age shrinkage which appears to have been reinforced at the back. Evidence of an old woodworm activity which no longer appears to be active. Functional and of neat proportions.
