thirty-four games and toys?comprising; jigsaws, boardgames, 'Airfix' models?and?early electronic games including ‘Playpax Squares’, ‘Doodle Master’,?a Milton Bradley ‘Microvision Block Buster’?game and a 'Aitron Wristo’ radio, many unused and?most in original boxes of issue together with a blue vanity case containing a large quantity of glass marbles (12 by 40 by 37cm).
The?large trunk with a?faux-fabric exterior?printed 'Asprey', labels for the 'Eastern Exchange Hotel / Port Said' 'Cairo' 'Shanghai' 'Bombay' and 'Cooks' Nile Steamers' and a paper label marked in manuscript 'Mr S Doyle',?the smaller trunk with applied paper transit?labels for?Cannes and Calais initialled in red paint to one side?JAC, with lift out tray,?one leather handle detached.

Provenance The larger trunk is a prop from the 1978 film?'Death on the?Nile' which was produced by Lord Brabourne.?It was used by the character Simon Doyle (whose name appears?on the label)?played by Simon MacCorkindale.

The piece looks like it has been used but is very decorative; A ‘Mettoy’ Playthings’ plastic ‘Petite’ typewriter, ribbon will require replacing in cardboard box of issue, not tested; A Milton Bradley ‘Microvision Block Buster’ programmable electronic game system, in very good condition. Never used or put together. Not tested. With instructions; ‘Gotcha’ a ‘4 in 1’ micro computer-controlled game and Electronic organ’, lacking instructions, plastis discoloured, box of issue tired; ‘The London Game’ a board-game with ‘London Underground’ themed play board and with printed ‘landmark’ cards – later marked in pencil, tired box and bent contents but apparently complete. Lacking instructions; ‘Go’ by Waddingtons, board game, an ‘International Travel Game’ circa 1961, box contents apparently unused and with instructions, box exterior tired; ‘Mine a Million’ by Waddingtons board games, ‘A game for 2 to 6 players’, circa 1965, contents used by v.good. box tired but fair; ‘Magnetic Pictures’ by Spears, ‘A Creative Game for the Young’, with magnetised plastic piece and black enameled metal board, losses some magnets detached, box tired and with tears; ‘Super-Cut Victory Jig-Saw’ in plywood with printed paper, pieces not checked so there could be losses, circa late 40s. Condition of box and pieces good; ‘Fours’ by Annscot, England, with stacked Perspex/plastic playing surface and counters, probably losses, playing surface scratched, box good; An ‘Airfix’ model of an ‘H.D.L Hovercraft SR-N1’, apparently unused but possibly with losses, loose in box, with instructions; An ‘Aitron Wristo’ radio in the form of a wristwatch, never used, instructions and case of box of issue good, not tested; A Denys Fisher ‘Haunted House’ board game, generally good although evidence of play, some cardboard elements with wear, box fair with corner tears; A ‘Bycycle Transistorized Radio-Hornlight’, not tested, plastic discoloured; A Swedish pine and plywood ‘Kulspelet Labyrint’ game with ball bearing, circa late 40s/50s; A Pedigree toys ‘Quickfire’ ‘computerised’ target game, not tested, box goody, apparently unused or barely used; A John Jaques & Son card game ‘French for Fun’, with printed cards and cardboard case, circa 1930s apparently complete although not counted.
