Description A George III mahogany chest of drawers
circa 1770
the?two short and three long graduated drawers with lacquered-brass handles, on bracket feet
105cm. high, 110cm. wide, 57cm. wide.
Condition Report In country house condition. Repolished in the late 19th century. Variation to surface colour. Some fading to top. Losses to cock beading. The pine base to first long drawer is loose. Drawers lined with mahogany. Patched repair to lock site to the rail of the first long drawer. Old marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. Separation to rear right proper return above rear bracket.
