Description Gem set and diamond bracelet

collet-set with a series of variously coloured cushion-shaped and oval sapphires and zircons and one hessonite garnet, spaced by links millegrain-set with circular-cut diamonds,?length approximately 175mm, French assay marks
Condition Report Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Stones in order from clasp tongue: green zircon, blue sapphire, yellow sapphire, brownish yellow zircon, violet sapphire, green zircon, pale pink sapphire, blue sapphire, violet sapphire, hessonite garnet, green zircon, yellow zircon, pink sapphire, yellow sapphire. Largest central stone (light blue sapphire) measuring approximately 10.6 x 8.0 x 6.4mm, calculated to weigh approximately 4.00 carats. Smallest zircon, at clasp, measuring approximately 6.7 x 6.4 x 4.0mm, calculated to weigh approximately 1.40 carats. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.50-3.50 carats. Width of bracelet approximately 11mm at widest point. Clasp not secure, but stays on with safety catch and later safety chain. Overall in good condition, some areas of wear to stone surfaces consistent with age and use. Overall in good condition, commensurate with age.

The Times?on the 18th July 1922. The groom gave his bride superb jewels, including a diamond and pearl?tiara of five stars (which their daughter Patricia, Lady Mountbatten was to wear to her own wedding), a diamond and turquoise demi-parure, a diamond brooch of the Royal Navy insignia and interestingly 'a bracelet of precious stones surrounded by diamonds', which could possibly be the present bracelet.?Edwina was to give Louis 'a Rolls Royce motor car'.
