Description Charles Saelis Kaelin (American/Cincinnati, 1858-1929), noted Cincinnati native impressionist. Oil on canvas, depicting a snow covered forest, signed and interestingly, dedicated to a fellow artist and colleague's wife, "To Mrs. J.E. Weis" l.l. John Weis (American/Cincinnati, 1892-1962), was a friend of Kaelin's, and the two often travelled to Rockport and Gloucester in the summer months together with a contingent of Cincinnati plein air painters.

Condition Report Slight surface film, previous frame rub to edges. The work has never been relined or restored, it appears.
