Note:
Mitsuaki Sora was born in Hiroshima in 1933, and graduated from the renowned Tama College of Fine Arts. While he specializes in sculptures of stone, he began printmaking in the 1960s. Each medium is defined by Sora’s organic, rounded forms, creating a cohesive and iconic aesthetic. His woodblock prints are included in the permanent collections of several museums, including the Utsukushigahara Museum, Nagano, the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art, Toyko, the Kure City Museum, Hiroshima, and the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum, Japan.
