Description On a low base with a carved apron, of rectangular shape with a lid and four drawers (the fronts of chichimu) behind a double door with panels of burl wood. The front, sides and top inlaid with flower sprigs and fruiting branches in multi-coloured soapstone, to the base two dragons of mother-of-pearl. The fittings, lock bolt and pulls of brass. On the bottom a yellow paper label reading Grace Wu Bruce. This lot contains materials which require a CITES licence for export outside of the EU contract countries.
