Description Covered all over with couched gold-wrapped threads and a few satin stiches, the centre displaying four large characters reading, shengming yangyi (one's fame spreads everywhere), surrounded by phoenixes and peonies as well as rocks, small flowers and animals, the eyes of glass, at both ends a dignitary with a sceptre, at the right the inscription Sha Lianzha renxiong daren ya jian (to our dear friend Sha Lianzha) and at the left a long list of names ending with the term tongbai (respectfully). Three sides with a blue border with butterflies and blossoms in couched gold threads and with appliqued cartouches filled with embroidered flowers and birds, framed by rows of metal-lined mirror glass spangles (a few missing). Lined with beige-coloured silk. The silks with shabby parts. Numerous metal fixtures for hanging.
