Of hexagonal section, with straight neck, loop handle and animal-head spout, decorated in underglaze blue, each side of the body with a raised quatrefoil panel depicting a robed lady beside bamboo, reserved against a ground of scattered floral sprays, a diamond-work band to the shoulder, the neck with further raised panels, each circular panel containing an auspicious object with further auspicious objects surrounding the panels, the cover similarly decorated, the base of the spout in the form of a fanged beast and a shou character to the underside. Period: 19th/20th century. Height: 23 cm.
