Description Tekke chuval, aina-gul, Tuirkmenistan, mid-19th century. The overall repeat aina gul pattern is enhanced by the exquisite detail of a ring-tree pattern in the elem. It is unusual to find these two patterns in the same chuval. There is another almost identical aina gul chuval with ring tree elem in the Bogolubov Collection in the Museum of Ethnography in St. Petersburg. Size: 3'5'' x 2'3'' (104 x 69 cm). Weight: 2 lbs.
