An early 18th century parcel-gilt silver oval snuff box with stand-away hinge, unmarked, circa 1720, the cover nicely chased with Chinoiserie scene featuring a dignitary followed by a child attendant holding a parasol, within chainwork border, interior of cover with gold on red verre eglomise scene depicting three Classical female figures, one playing a cello, gilt interior to base, 8 cm. long.
Very nice condition though base is very whippy
