Two amber root and rock crystal snuffboxes, China, 19th century- An opaque amber root snuffbox carved with masks and rings on the shoulders resting on an oval foot. - A rock crystal snuff box of rectangular shape with rounded shoulders, called "rutile", with inclusions of black tourmaline needles carved in relief on one side in a gray vein of a rooster standing on a rock among flowers; the other side left undecorated. Well hollowed out. Height: 6 and 7 cm
