Large necklace in vermeil and green jadeite, China, 19th centuryComposed in the upper part of an openwork vermeil plate representing a sound stone (one of the precious objects) surmounted by two fish and a pagoda from which are suspended four strings of green jadeite beads, two ending in small pendants carved in the shape of leaves and fruits, and two in vermeil flowered vases from which is suspended a central medallion in green jadeite openwork and carved with a dragonfly in foliage and set in vermeil with a motif of ruyi heads. Attached to the medallion, two openwork vermeil elements followed by two strings of jadeite beads ending with a vermeil plate also openwork representing the endless knot and two fish, symbols of good omen. The necklace ends with five strings of jadeite beads finished with small pendants carved with leaves and fruits. Height: 60 cm; gross weight: 165 g
