Black and gold lacquer box containing five inkblocks, China, 19th centuryThe lid decorated with the inscription Fang gu cang yan - -仿古蔵煙(archaic inkblock collection). Each stick is adorned with molded decoration depicting literati in landscapes while the reverse side is illustrated with golden calligraphy. The set is presented in a case covered with polychrome silk. Case : 24 x 14,5 cm ; h. breads : from 5,3 to 8,4 cmTwo sticks damaged and worn in the lacquer .
