Mandarin silk summer dress with gold dragons with four claws on a blue background, China, late 19th
centuryManchu style dress with hoof sleeves, closed on the right side by four buttons, slit behind and on the sides. The bottom of the dress shows the classic waves of the Ocean from which the rocks of the Earth emerge while the blue background represents the sky with fiery pearls. On the front and back is the triad of the frontal dragon and the two dragons in profile. A frontal dragon is also on each shoulder. A ninth on the inner flap of the dress. The collar and the bottom of the sleeves decorated with small dragons between the waves and clouds in pursuit of the sacred pearl.
