Buddhist officiant's ritual headdress, Vajracharya, Tibet, 19th centuryOrnamented all around with religious elements in embossed copper and gilt. On the front, a seated Shakyamuni Buddha in the vajrasana or lotus position, his hands in bhumisparsa mudra (witnessing the earth) holding a beaker in his left hand flanked by a mandorla. At the back is a stupa, while on the sides are fixed lingzhi clouds. The top of the headdress is decorated with a five-pointed vajra head. Height : 20,9 cm
