A good Russian silver and niello cheroot case, Assay Master's mark of Victor Savinkov, Moscow, circa 1880, rectangular with rounded corners and secured at front with a hinged clasp, cover depicting the Spasskaya Clock Tower in the Kremlin on rayed ground within wreath of flowers, checkered ground incorporating a vacant shield within oval buckle and strap cartouche on reverse, gilt interior, 13.4 cm. wide.Very good condition, crisp niello, marks struck on inner rim so not easy to read.
