A variegated green hardstone circular covered inkstand with brass mounted glass wells, pounce pot and three pen recesses. The stand base is gadrooned all round, the cover also gadrooned with six inset carved hardstone cameos in gilt mounts with busts in relief in contrasting colours varying from white to black through grey, ivory and brown. CR. One piece of the cover has broken off and been well refixed, one or two very small chips, gilding worn, otherwise in very good condition. 15cm. across x 10cm.
