Jim N Hill, 1988, Beach Scene, Acrylic on Paper, 21" x 20-3/4" LOT NOTES: Jim N. Hill is an artist-painter whose work has been widely accepted and exhibited. After completing his Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Arkansas in 1978, Jim moved to Houston, Texas, where he now paints and teaches. In 1965 Hill's first paintings were purchased by Commercial Ntl. Bank in Little Rock, Arkansas. Since then his work has been purchased by banks, universities, hotels, restaurants, oil companies and other concerns as well as many individuals in several countries. Recent Hill paintings indicate his developed spontaneous painting technique with great interest in color harmony and composition. General categories of imagery include seascapes, landscapes, figurative, floral and abstract works. Because many themes are painted over and over, it is interesting that no two are ever alike and each work maintains it's own individuality and purpose as an artistic statement.
