The first is of a creamy tone with russet inclusions. The second is of a pale celadon tone and is carved to the exterior in low relief with the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac.
Catalogue notes: The traditional Chinese calendar runs on 12-year cycles, and each year corresponds to a certain animal. The twelve animals are as follows: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.
Condition: the creamy jade bangle with an irregular section of stone; the celadon bangle has been broken in three sections and restuck.
