Each vase is decorated with two loose-ring beast-head handles. Each body is moulded with lotus petals, each painted with alternating floral and landscape panels, all above a lappet band at the foot.
Catalogue notes: compare a pair similar to the current lot in the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, accession no. 4374.1-2-D3.
Condition: one - with the loose ring replaced; frits; chip to one handle (approx. 0.7 cm.); the other - restoration to approx. 1/4 of the rim; chip and bruise to the foot (the larger approx. 1 cm.)
