The rounded sides supported on a circular foot ring, decorated in bright shades of underglaze blue, painted to the exterior with two square panels with canted corners, one enclosing a scene of a robed official flanked by a child and an attendant, a further child and official standing to either side, the other with a scene of officials seated beneath a rocky outcrop in a terraced garden accompanied by attendants, the cover decorated with five children playing in a terraced garden, the glazed base with a double circle in underglaze blue. Period: Kangxi (1662-1722). Diameter: 22 cm, height: 23 cm.
