The undulating shaft and ruyi-form head coated in layers of crimson lacquer and carved in high relief with auspicious motifs including the twin fish and precious vase against a scrolling ground, the centre of the shaft widening into a shaped lozenge filled with a parasol and the endless knot, the foliate terminus carved with a flaming jewel, the remainder of the shaft carved with lotus scroll.
