Of inverted baluster form, decorated in famille verte enamels, the body with two large quatrefoil panels, one painted with a courtly scene of warriors and officials, the other with two birds perched on a blossoming branch among large peony blooms issuing from rockwork, all reserved on a powder blue ground, the tall neck decorated with two shaped panels, one enclosing two officials seated at a table in a terraced garden, the other bamboo, peony and rockwork, the cover similarly decorated with two fan shaped panels, one enclosing a landscape scene, the other auspicious objects, surmounted by a lion shaped finial, the base glazed. Period: 19th/20th century. Height: 46.5 cm.
