Mottahedeh Coll. - 18th C Chinese Batavia Teapot with panels of Famille Rose enameling, the spout, handle and cover with European silver decorations (probably Dutch 18th century according to Sotheby's), including a squirrel and a bird; label from the Mottahedeh Collection. Good condition, cover chipped and old repair to inside edge of cover, glaze abraded at back of spout under silver cover. Length of teapot from handle to spout 7 1/8 inches (18 cm.).
